The U.S. Army Heritage and Education Center (USAHEC) Presents the General Omar N. Bradley Memorial Lecture. Lecture by Renowned Civil War Historian D. Scott Hartwig. FREE and Open to the Public; Book Sale and Signing. Doors open at 6:00 pm EST.
The Antietam Campaign is one of the most famous campaigns in not only American but world military history. Already considered the ultimate authority on Strategic Leadership in the 1862 Maryland Campaign, Mr. D. Scott Hartwig is local (he resides in Gettysburg) and is extremely well known in the Civil War community. He was the National Park Service Historian for decades at Gettysburg National Military Park. His lectures and tours are popular with scholars, historians, and Civil War buffs.

The USAHEC begins our Fall season of the 2024 “Perspectives” Lecture Series with Civil War historian Mr. Hartwig’s presentation, which will be followed by a question-and-answer session.Live stream viewing available at: https://www.armywarcollege.edu/live/.
